Years ago, friends kept telling me if my kids started at Dae Han, they'd never want to leave. They were right! One of my kids has attended classes there for about 4 years and it's been the best experience. The instructors are upbeat, calm, positive and encouraging. Everyone leaves with a smile. It's great exercise, confidence, and skill building. I highly recommend Dae Han for Taekwondo!

My son and daughter started attending Dae Han in July and they absolutely love it. I can see their confidence growing not just in taekwondo but in other aspects of their life. They’re taught to greet others respectfully and other disciplines such as patience, focus, teamwork and the list goes on. My kids wish they can attend classes everyday because they love the energy and most importantly, they love their teachers who are so positive, encouraging and enthusiastic about their growth. The ratio of teacher to students is something you don’t see at other taekwondo academies. On average, there are about 5-6 teachers who will work with 2-3 students on their forms. Kudos to Dae Han!

My daughter has been attending Taekwondo classes here for three years, and I couldn't be happier with her progress. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also incredibly patient and encouraging.
They create a positive and supportive environment where every student feels valued. My daughter has gained so much confidence, discipline, and respect through these classes, all while having a lot of fun!

I've studied Taekwondo for 30 years and have see a lot of martial arts schools across the country. Dae Han is absolutely one of the best there is. Finding a good Taekwondo school is critical - the instructors and other students become an extended a family. Respect, compassion, and patience are key aspects of a good school. Dae Han has this in spades. I knew this was the place to send my son, whom I've been wanting to introduce Taekwondo since before he was born, since the firs day I walked in. Master Kim was so welcoming and kind, and all the instructors ARE SO GOOD WITH KIDS! Its hard teaching kids, but these people know what they're doing. My son loves coming here - begging me to bring him even on weekends. He doesn't do that with any other activity we've signed him up for. And what's even better is that I've joined as well to continue my long time training and I just have a smile on my face the whole time. This is a family place, a place to learn Taekwondo from the experts, a place to feel respected and to learn respect in terms, and a great place for children to learn important life lessons. We started off doing the 2 week trial classes and my four year old son ended up loving it! So we’ve committed and my son is now thoroughly enjoying his training sessions with Master Kim and the other black belt masters. The structure of the tiny tigers class is very organized. I’ve noticed that there may be ten kids in one class but there are like five or more black belt masters present in each class to be able to focus on one or two kids at a time. So the individual attention is there. My son was timid at first but I see him slowly opening up and trying new challenges presented - he is always asking when Taekwondo day is. Everyone is so professional and passionate about teaching the little ones. The facility is impeccably clean as they sanitize between classes. Great place!

There are so many positive things I could say about Dae Han Martial Arts! Our friend’s 3 children all attend classes here and I’m glad my son joined, too. I am impressed by the training in self-discipline and level of engagement. My son is in Tiny Tigers and he practices TKD multiple times every day and teaches us (and extended family members and friends … really anyone who would listen!) about TKD, counting in Korean, poomsae and more. Not only are his TKD skills getting better, his listening skills are also improving too. He has fun and enjoys it which is what is most important to me. Thank you Master Kim and to all the wonderful teachers!

I checked out a lot of Taekwondo studios for my daughters. I wanted it to be a positive experience that they really enjoyed. Master Kim runs a very fun, efficient and kind studio, which is hard to find. How do you make discipline, focus, and athletic ability for 4+ year olds fun? We can't say enough about Master Kim and their instructors and the supportive environment they've built. We started with Dae Han in 2019 and it's become a foundational part of our daughters lives. Our oldest started in 2019 and has come a long way, recently becoming a black belt and now as a volunteer helper. And our youngest is just starting her journey. Dae Han continues to be a great confidence building routine for our daughter's lives.

Our two daughters have been taking classes with Dae Han for almost a year and we can't say enough good things about them. Master Kim and all the instructors have done an amazing job teaching them not only the physical aspects of Taekwondo, but just as important the mental and core principles, such as respect, responsibility and discipline. All the instructors take time during each class to make sure each student is not only learning, but having fun while doing so. Dae Han Marital Arts is an exceptional place for children and teens to learn, grown, focus, and develop confidence, and skills. My son started classes at age 10 and was immediately hooked. He's played basketball, soccer, run track, and this has become his place. I highly recommend for families looking for a supportive environment with excellent instruction and leadership

I cannot speak highly enough of Dae Han Martial Arts studio in Pleasant Hill. If you're looking for a place where your kids can learn Taekwondo in a nurturing and positive environment, this is the place to be. The instructors here are simply outstanding.
The first thing that struck me about Dae Han was the level of respect and kindness the instructors showed towards the kids. It's clear that they genuinely care about each child's growth and development, both as martial artists and as individuals. Master Kim, the owner, sets the tone for the entire studio with his remarkable leadership.
Master Kim's teaching style is truly impressive. The fact that all of his instructors are not only highly skilled but also respectful, disciplined, and passionate speaks volumes about his leadership and dedication to the art of Taekwondo. Definitely the best place for all ages. Staffs are very kind and all the instructors are very respectful, and lead by one of the best master. Master Joon T. Kim is very knowledgeable in many different martial arts.

Dae Han Martial Arts is the best martial arts academy that I have been to. The instructors are incredibly kind and helpful, they will tweak their classes so every student enjoys them. Dae Han Martial Arts is the absolute best! Master Kim and Master Nadya are fantastic leaders and their passion is woven through every aspect of their program. Master Kim and his instructors are awesome! My 12 year old has been going here for over year, and LOVES it! He has played other sports, but never found something that he really loved, until Tae Kwon Do. Dae Han teaches respect, confidence, patience, and determination; it's great exercise too. We were referred to Dae Han through a friend and I could tell from the first class that the environment was going to be perfect for my son. The instructors expect the children to be respectful and follow rules but also make sure the classes are fun and there is so much positive reinforcement. We find it so inspiring that many of the instructors came up through the studio and it encourages my son to continue. The owners, as well as all the teachers and staff, are helpful, courteous and easy to communicate with. I've been so pleased with our experience here and am looking forward to watching my son (and eventually my daughter!) grow in this sport!
